Outside with Maja

Hello everybody! I didn't forget about posting today, and that really made me happy. I was very close to forget, but right before I went to bed I remembered! Today I woke up early, at seven, and went outside with Maja. It was terribly cold and humid at the same time, and the wind was too strong. Maja didn't really like it, but she followed me around for the entire time I was outside - then she went inside, sleeping for the rest of the day.

The - only - thing I like about autumn is the colours, the leaves are more than the boring green. I think today's photos turned out pretty good, simply because of the coloures of the leaves. If you look closely you can see that they are a bit wet, it's from the morning mist.

Hello readers! School starts tomorrow, like I mentioned in my last post. I didn't go anywhere to take any photos today, I'm still very tired from the medicine but tomorrow is also the last day I take that, so hopefully I will feel a bit more energized later in the week. Because I didn't take any photos today, I will just go ahead and post these two of Sessan. I took them at the same time as last post, but I never intended to post them, I guess I just thought I wouldn't be so tired but I still am, so this is all I have for you today.

Maja and Sessan

Hello readers! I still feel very tired from my antibiotics, but overall I'm feeling better, so that is great. I don't recall telling you about school, but I start on Monday. Just so you know, even though it probably won't be any less frequent posting since I barely post at all anyway (but that is because I'm sick!). I have been lightly working on the book reviews, and they will hopefully be able to start to come from next week and onwards every other week.

Today's photos are of Maja and one photo is of Sessan. I heard some strange sounds outside. When I went outside I saw Maja, sitting on the edge of the roof, drinking water from the downspout. She looked at me a bit confused, and I took the camera and took some photos of her, haha. Then when I was outside, Sessan came too, so I took a photo of her as well.

Horses

Hello readers! I've mentioned this a few other times, but my summer job is at a local stable/shop and of course there are horses there. Today I spent a little bit of my lunch break walking around in the mares hage, and as you can see from the photos they were very interested in me, having their ears pointed at me the entire time. They were not scared at all, just curious. It was almost a little bit hard to get some good photos of them because they came too close - like you can see a little bit of in the third photo. Tomorrow is my last day of work, and on Monday I'm going to Stockholm for five days. That means it is a lot of photos coming up. I will probably not be able to edit and put up all the photos from Stockholm the day I take them, so sometime next week there will probably be another book review and maybe some more horse photos - I have saved some photos for that, just in case - just so you know, but of course I will write more about that in my future posts!

Two year anniversary!

Hello readers! Today is the two year anniversary of my blog. Last year, in my One year anniversary post I recreated the very first photo I uploaded in my first post, Välkommen (Welcome). But this year I felt like I couldn't just do the same thing again. My Hoya Bella - where the flowers are from - isn't blooming either so even if I wanted to I couldn't do it. To be honest I don't have any special photos to share with you. I was thinking about what I could post today, and I decided on a sunset photo.

If you have been following my blog for a longer time, or looked back on my previous posts, you will notice that there is a fair share of sunsets amongst the photos. I love watching the sunset, and I love photographing it. Because of that, I thought I might post a sunset. I also decided to put in a photo of Maja, because she and the other cats have also had a lot of posts dedicated to them over the past years.

Maja

Hello everybody! I hope you have had a good weekend. I was with one of my friends yesterday, and today I just spent at home, reading. It has been very warm here, we have had a bit of proper summer heat, finally. This past week the weather has just gotten warmer and warmer, now it is around 30°C during the day and no wind to speak of. During work - I'm outside about half of my time at work - it's too hot, and I have gotten weird tan lines from wearing t-shirts everyday. But towards the evening it gets cooler and today I took the opportunity to go outside in the garden with Maja.

She was very delighted and meowed and purred a lot, and it was great. I took a bunch of photos and picked out the best ones. It was a bit hard to keep the number of photos down, but I narrowed it down to my four favorites. I hope you haven't got tired of her. To be fair, I haven't made an entire post about her in over a week.

Sessan

Hi readers! Today I was outside with Sessan, she was enjoying the warm weather and I took some photos of her. She was sitting up, but then she got surprised by a butterfly, rolled around on her back and then she ran away, trying to catch it. You can see it happening in the three photos I decided to post. I took more photos but she was moving around so they turned out rather blurry so I didn't like them.

I'm really trying to blog every day, and I think it's going well. This far I haven't missed any posts, so it's good. I hope you readers think it's good too, even though I know I post on very different times. It's just because sometimes I blog in the evening and other days after work, or between work and dinner etc. Regardless of what time, I do try to post every day and since it's working I think it's all good.

Evening lighting

Hello everybody! My favorite lighting of all is the evening lighting. I love the shadows and how yellow it is and the way it falls. The thing is, I don't usually take any photos in that lighting because I can't seem to make the photos look good, the shadows make it weird and it's too dim and so on. But today I tried and actually got a nice photo out of it. The plant is a Hoya, not sure which one, and I originally wanted to take the photo because it has grown so incredibly much lately. Then the photo turned out good, I think so at least, so I decided to post it.

I also took this photo of Maja, laying in my bed and being very cozy. She usually moves around a lot when she is laying or sleeping in my bed, so this is one of the rare times she actually didn't do that, so I am quite happy with todays photos. I have also decided that I am going to try and blog every day even though I'm working, because it is still easier than when I'm going to school and I enjoy doing this.

Maja during the evening

Hello everybody! The Roy Fares cake recipe I posted some days ago was really quite popular, and that made me very surprised. I did not expect that at all, but I guess a bunch of you liked that post, so it is all good of course.

Today's photos are just of Maja. I love her so much and I never get enough of her - not even when she scream in my face at night because she wants to go outside instead of sleep. She was just lying outside, enjoying the warm evening and looking at people walking by. The weather these past weeks have been terrible, it has just rained all the time and the sky has been gray. Today it was sunny and nice for once, and I think she enjoyed the good weather.

A (dark) photo of Maja

Hello readers! I took a bunch of photos of Maja today, or this evening rather. She looked very cute but when I viewed the photos on my computer I realized that it had been a bit too dark when I took the photos, because you could basically just see her eyes. When I realized this I thought it might just be better to try and take some more photos of her, but they just turned out yellow because I had to use the indoor lights for it not to get too dark again.

This did not really work out either, and it's a rainy day so the weather is not helping at all either. So I decided to just post one of the original photos instead, this is the best one of all the ones I took and I tried to brighten it up a little when editing, but you can't do much when the photos are so dark. I hope it's okay to not to post the best photos each and every time.

Nature (and books)

Hi readers! I was playing Sims and I was just about to close down my computer for the day when I saw a little note I wrote to myself to remind me to blog today. The funny thing is that I, last night, found some photos from this past week that I never posted, wrote the numbers on a note and told myself to make a post about it today. And here I am, doing exactly that...

Last night I also started to read a wonderful book. It's called Gilead and written by Marilynne Robinson. I'm going to post a review of it as soon as I've finished reading it, and hopefully that will be soon. But it is roughly about 300 pages, and I read so incredibly slow when I read English books, so it will probably take a couple of weeks. Today I also ordered four new books, and I'm really excited to read them!

Anyway, today's photos are of Sessan and a potato flower of all things.

Midsummer

Good evening readers! Today is the Swedish holiday midsummer. It usually rain to some degree, but today has been surprisingly nice for once. Last year I was just recovering from eating something very bad, but this year everything was good. I did write a little bit about midsummer in last years midsummer post. Last year I just posted some photos of the cake, but this year I changed it a little to make it more interesting. First of all, I was playing around with shapes in photos and I found it interesting to put a round bouquet in a square tile. The flower arrangement in the photo is also made by my mum for midsummer, so it goes together. The second photo is this years cake. I love, love, love the strawberry cake my mum makes for midsummer. It's my favorite cake of all cakes and it's so delicious.

Anyway, back to the photos. The third photo is just Maja laying outside and having a good time. She was just laying there, napping, looking at people in their gardens, eating some and hunting flies. I thought she looked cute just being relaxed and all. And that pretty much sums up this years midsummer! :)

Being forgetful...

Hello everybody! I don't know why I'm suddenly so forgetful. Every time I say I will blog every day I forget about it the very next day. It's so annoying, but now I've made a notification on my phone so hopefully I won't just forget about blogging anymore. Blogging every day is something I really would like to do, but I just keep forgetting about it. I almost forget about blogging today as well. I don't know why, but I just think that I've already done it - and I clearly haven't - and that's it.

Anyway, today's very quick photo is just one of Maja that I took today. She was watching people walking past outside of our house and I left the door a little bit open so that she could stay inside - I believe it was too cold outside - and still watch all the interesting things that happened outside. She only looked at me when I called her name, and that was only for a second, so she was obviously very buzzy looking at the people that walked past.

Tigra

Hello readers! I can agree that it is a bit ironic that I missed one day of blogging the day right after I said I probably would start blogging every day. But, I'm here right now and I'm hopefully not going to forget about blogging too often in the near future. Yesterday I did actually remember, but then it was already too late so the post would have come technically today instead, so I didn't bother.

Today's photos are of Tigra. I feel like it was a while since there was any post about the cats, and I don't often post photos of Tigra in general. She is quite shy and also loves the outdoors so much, she is the one who is home the least. But today the weather was bad, it was cold and windy, so none of the cats spent much time outside. These photos I took of Tigra when she just went back to sleep after having a bit of food.

Hello readers! As you have probably already noticed, I don't really post every other day. Barely every week, and it's because interests go up and down, and right now I'm not really feeling like blogging. My interest for that is quite low at the moment. So that is that, now you know the reason of my absence. But my interest is coming back, but as I just said, it's going up and down.

I'm going to have summer vacation soon, the 9th this month. I also want to start blogging every day, even though I feel like it would be good to not take week long breaks first. I've also gotten tons of books from the library, and I'm hoping to read all of them this summer! Reading is the only thing I feel like doing right now, so I'm just going to read :) And to explain the photo of Sessan, it's very warm here lately, around 30°C, and that makes the cats very sleepy.

Crows, cat, tree

Hi everyone! I had saved these three photos in my photo folder, waiting to get something better to pair them up with. Now, that didn't seem to be happening, so I decided to just post them together. All three of them have something with the outside to do, so that's one similarity. I wanted some photos of our cats too, but it really didn't work out that great. The cats are just sleeping tight now, since it's so warm outside (and inside too) so they are not much fun, and my last post was about Maja and Sessan after all.

To update you on the phone and instagram situation: I realized the other day that if I turn my phone off and then on again I can open instagram and upload one photo. So it's kind of working, or at least working good enough for me right now, I might start to get annoyed later but right now I'm just glad it's working.

Maja and Sessan

Hello readers! I saw that a lot of you have seen my book review, and I hope you liked it. From now on, I'm probably going to be able to get a review out every other week. I've also been trying to update my instagram lately, but I don't know what my phone is doing right now. So nothing new is coming up on instagram, apparently... But I can still blog and that is probably the most important thing.

Today I have taken these photos of Maja and Sessan. All the cats are very sleepy because it has been very hot here lately, around twenty five degrees. The heat came very suddenly but it's fairly nice. It feels like summer, even though it's not that far into May yet.

Rain and Maja

Hi readers! The weather this weekend has been very shifting. Today it has rained, snowed wet snow and right now the sun is shining. Maja was outside with me when I tried taking some photos of the rain. It stopped raining and I only took one photo of it, so I tried taking some photos of Maja and some flowers from the garden. Most of the photos I tried taking of Maja turned out blurry because she wanted me to pet her so she kept going after me when I tried to take the photos.

Maja and Sessan

Hello everyone! Today was such a rainy, grey and cloudy day. I took some photos of flowers with a little bit of raindrops on them, but I didn't realize I had to blog today so I didn't edit the photos. I'll try doing that tomorrow, but of course I must share something today. So I decided to share these photos of Maja and Sessan. They came outside when I went out to photograph the flowers, and then they sat together and watched some birds. They looked cute together, I thought.

I'm also currently reading La liste de mes envies by Grégoire Delacourt, it's a really great book and I very much enjoy reading it. When I'm done reading it I would like to review it, but I wanted to warn all of you that are waiting for my book reviews. Since this book is in French I can't read it as fast, so it takes longer time to read it. Because of that, I'm probably going to make a book review of the last book I read, the one before this one (a review is coming this weekend/beginning of next week) but then it might be a while until the next review.
