Morning mist

Hi readers! It's been so long - again - but the biggest problem really is to get time to take photos. When I wake up and when I come home from school it's completely dark outside, so on weekdays I can't take a single photo during the day, and weekends are spent doing homework and reading.

Today I woke up surprisingly early, woken up by Maja wanting to sleep in my bed, and decided to take my bike to a big field not too far away from home. This past week it has been very misty, during the day as well, and today I finally got myself outside - in daylight - to take some photos. I also saw a cow while I was there, so I took a photo of it too.

A sudden snowfall

Hello readers! I've stayed inside, worked on my assignments and read - a couple of reviews might be coming up! -  a lot since my last post, but today I actually went outside because of the sudden snowfall. It really was a surprising snowfall, everybody was expecting rain and temperatures just above zero, but instead we got a beautiful snowfall with big snowflakes.

I thought it was really nice - even though I'm not looking forward to the train problems that will come because of this. Hopefully it will melt until next Tuesday when I'm starting school again.

A cold morning

Hello everybody! I was so sure that I had already made a post like this the other month or so, but it turns out I never actually got around to doing it, so here it is now instead. These photos were taken some time ago, in early/mid autumn. You can tall because the leaves and grass still have nice colours.

Today was my first day of the break, and I spent it sleeping until noon, making Christmas candy and reading. Hopefully I'll manage to do something more productive than this on some of the other days, because after all I do have a couple of assignments to do before school starts again.

December evening...

Hello readers! Today was my last day of school, I had train problems during the morning but after that everything went smoothly. Now I'm going to read a lot and sleep in with my cat. I did not take any photos today, because it gets dark very quickly this time of year. Today was actually the winter solstice, the shortest/darkest day of the year. So I really didn't get any time too, but I thought a photo of the Christmas tree might be good enough since it's Christmas very soon.

Snow

Hello readers! It was my first day back to school today after a week off, and I was really tired today. Outside it's starting to get a bit colder, it's been snowing on and off for the entire day today. The first snow this year came last Thursday, and that is really quite early for this part of Sweden. Since I had a long day today at school, and it gets dark super early this time of the year, I didn't get any time to take photos today. But I did, on the other hand, take photos this Friday and I was going to post them but forgot about it. So, here are some photos from last Friday.

It basically look the same outside today, but today it was colder and the snowflakes were a bit smaller, but other than that you didn't miss out on anything. I'm hoping to get to take some good photos soon, but I only finish school early on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so it's some time until then!

Outside with Maja

Hello everybody! I didn't forget about posting today, and that really made me happy. I was very close to forget, but right before I went to bed I remembered! Today I woke up early, at seven, and went outside with Maja. It was terribly cold and humid at the same time, and the wind was too strong. Maja didn't really like it, but she followed me around for the entire time I was outside - then she went inside, sleeping for the rest of the day.

The - only - thing I like about autumn is the colours, the leaves are more than the boring green. I think today's photos turned out pretty good, simply because of the coloures of the leaves. If you look closely you can see that they are a bit wet, it's from the morning mist.

I'm back!

Hello readers! It has been so, so long since last. Almost two months. School took much more time than expected, and since it takes me an hour to get one way, I don't have that much time left for other things. I choose to prioritize school, but I still want to keep blogging, it's just that I have not felt like I've had the time to do so. Now on the other hand, I'm having a one week vacation from school because it's Halloween etc.

It started last Thursday, but I wanted some time to think about the blog before I posted anything. Then I went to see a film with my friends on Friday and went to the stable on Saturday. But today I decided I did want to start blogging again, but now I'm not going to make any promises about when I'm going to post and what not. I'm simply going to post whenever I have time and photos for doing so, but I will say that I'm probably going to be a bit more active this week.

Small flowers

Hi everybody! Today's post is about small little flowers. You don't really realize how small the flowers are, but you can sort of see my hand holding the white flower. I had to hold it, because the little breeze made it move too much so the photos turned out blurry.

I had my second day of school today, and it's really good. I'm liking it this far, and tomorrow we go after the schedule and have proper lessons. Now I'm home less, because it takes more time to get to and home from school, so I probably won't be able to post every day, especially not later this autumn when it gets darker because then it will most defiantly be dark when I get home. So from now on, I'm going to try and post every other day just as it was before summer. We will see how that goes, hopefully it'll be fine!

Stockholm - Day 3

Hello readers! Today I did not do much, just spent most of the time inside and had a calm day, and it was really nice. Tomorrow is our last day here, and I am probably going to go out and do a little bit of shopping. There are some things I really would try and get, especially since school starts in a couple of weeks. I will probably try to take some photos tomorrow and try to make a post before the train back to Gothenburg.

Today I share with you, a photo of the sunset from Stockholm's archipelago and a hot air balloon that passed by. I thought the photos fit nicely together. And speaking of photos together, you who follow me on Instagram might have notice that it was quite a while since I posted anything. That is because my phone right now is having some problems, but hopefully I can get a new phone soon, so that will be fixed.

Another attempt with the roses

Hello readers! In the very beginning of this month I made a post with some more pink roses but the focus was not that great because it was a little windy that day so the roses moved a bit in the wind. Usually that is not a problem, I can just hold the branch or flower with my hand, but since these are roses I didn't want to because they have thorns. So those photos did not turn out perfect, but I really wanted to get some good photos of those roses.

Yesterday I decided I would try again since the roses are still blooming and there was no wind. This time the photos turned out sharp and good, like they are supposed to be. I did however change the settings a little bit between photos and you can see that there is a change of color in the photos, but I think it was alright.

Leaves

Hello readers! Since the successful try in the beginning of this week, I wanted to try and take some more photos in the beautiful evening light, so today I tried again. I took some photos of the leaves of my other Hoya. Now, these photos did not turn out as good as the one I took in the beginning of the week. I don't remember what day that was exactly, but probably Monday I suppose. These photos turned out more like my attempts usually turn out, not great.

Despite that I decided to share the photos, mostly because the photos are not terrible. Also the first photo down below was pretty good, or it had potential at least.

Wild flowers

Hi everybody! I found more photos that I never shared because I forgot to. It is because I was going to get rid of all my past little notes with posts that I though I had already done, but on the note for last month I found another post. The previous post with the dessert was also from last month, and so is this. I guess it doesn't matter at all that these photos were taken last month either, because it is not like the photos have turned old or anything.

Moving on to the actual photos then. This is a bouquet made with wild flowers that my mum made to midsummer. When I took these photos I was playing around with where I had my focus and so on, but I'm not that good so the photos are a bit messy. Or at least some of them are, because then the sharp thing was not far away enough from the background so it didn't look great. But it can only get better, and some photos were good so it's alright.

Garden flowers

Hello everyone! Today I went outside during the afternoon instead of the usual evening, so the lighting is different. It was not raining/cloudy so that also changed the lighting a bit. I tried to stand so that the photo was under a shadow, because then you don't get the sharpness of a photo that is taken in direct sunlight. Because of that, you might see the outline of the shadow in the second photo, if you look close.

I am also very much intending to stick to blogging every day. The reason I'm blogging this early today is because I'm a bit tired, because I was working and have to wake up early, and I did not want to forget about it. I do want to take my photos in the evening, because that is when the lighting is best, but I think today was just fine too.

Evening lighting

Hello everybody! My favorite lighting of all is the evening lighting. I love the shadows and how yellow it is and the way it falls. The thing is, I don't usually take any photos in that lighting because I can't seem to make the photos look good, the shadows make it weird and it's too dim and so on. But today I tried and actually got a nice photo out of it. The plant is a Hoya, not sure which one, and I originally wanted to take the photo because it has grown so incredibly much lately. Then the photo turned out good, I think so at least, so I decided to post it.

I also took this photo of Maja, laying in my bed and being very cozy. She usually moves around a lot when she is laying or sleeping in my bed, so this is one of the rare times she actually didn't do that, so I am quite happy with todays photos. I have also decided that I am going to try and blog every day even though I'm working, because it is still easier than when I'm going to school and I enjoy doing this.

White orchids

Hello readers! I believe I've already written a little about this in some previous post, but I thought it might be a good idea to tell you again. It is so that I'm working - starting this Monday (yesterday) - and I would probably not be able to post very frequently, so it will hopefully be around every other day or so. That is at least what I will try to aim for. The place I'm working at is a local stable/store and it's my summer job, so now you know.

These photos turned out a bit grainy. I don't know why exactly (bad lighting probably, as always) but I really wanted to post today, so I thought maybe it would be okay. The photos are not that terrible I guess, just a bit grainy.

Lake photos - 2

Hello readers! A long time ago, probably about two or three months ago, I went to a lake and took some photos. I tried to find the post to link it, but I didn't find it right away so I just ended up not doing that, but it is another post somewhere. Anyway, when I was there I took a bunch of photos but I only posted a few of them at the time, I probably didn't feel like editing all of them back then. Then I forgot that those photos ever happened - shocker I know, I forget to write so many posts I talk about writing... - but now I found them again, so here are some of those photos!

More pink roses

Hi everyone! Today I went outside, and for once I actually went beyond my garden too - with about three meters or so. Anyway, the distance is not the point, I went to go and take some photos of these pink roses that I, for a while, have been thinking would make a nice photo. The reason of why I haven't gone and done that is because every single time I went outside to take those photos, someone else went and stood almost right next to the rosebush. So then I didn't want to go. But today was the first time I could go without having other people stand right there, and I think it went pretty good.

Not great focus on the photos, I realized that afterwards but I believe that is because it was a bit windy and the flowers didn't stay still. I didn't want to hold them either because they are roses so they have thorns. But in the end, okay photos I think.

Small log

Hello everyone! I slept really long today, I was not out of bed until 10AM and it felt like I did nothing but sleep today. Usually I aim to go up around 8AM and it's really strange because it was just a couple of hours, still it felt like I barely got anything done today. That might be true though, since I basically spent my day on the internet and also did a little bit of reading. But, I guess tomorrow will be better and hopefully I won't wake up so late. And to just mention the photo very shortly: today I took this photo of a small log from an apple tree. In the end I think the photo looks nice, it's a bit different from what I usually post I believe.

I also wanted to tell you about my summer job before I forget about it. I'm going to work at a equestrian shop/business for three weeks, starting the 11th this month. During that time I probably won't post every single day. I know I miss days here and there now as well, but then it probably won't happen. Of course I'm going to post regularly, every other day or so, but I just wanted to notify you in advanced in case you start wondering why I'm not posting.

Nature (and books)

Hi readers! I was playing Sims and I was just about to close down my computer for the day when I saw a little note I wrote to myself to remind me to blog today. The funny thing is that I, last night, found some photos from this past week that I never posted, wrote the numbers on a note and told myself to make a post about it today. And here I am, doing exactly that...

Last night I also started to read a wonderful book. It's called Gilead and written by Marilynne Robinson. I'm going to post a review of it as soon as I've finished reading it, and hopefully that will be soon. But it is roughly about 300 pages, and I read so incredibly slow when I read English books, so it will probably take a couple of weeks. Today I also ordered four new books, and I'm really excited to read them!

Anyway, today's photos are of Sessan and a potato flower of all things.
